The Bottom Line

The Roborock Saros 10 Review earns a Buy verdict at a 9/10 rating from us. It is one of those products that delivers exactly what it promises and a little more. If it fits your use case, you will not regret the purchase.

Update: a couple of months in

After living with the Saros 10 for a couple of months, it is still the best robot vacuum and mop I have ever owned. The care and maintenance has been genuinely minimal, I almost never have to clean or empty anything by hand. The hot-water washing and disinfecting of the mop pads is a real standout, and the refillable detergent tank means I fill it once and forget it. Day to day I just do light maintenance here and there and empty the dustbin occasionally, which, after all these years of robot vacuums, is by far the best dustbin setup I have used.

⚠️ Buyer beware: there are TWO Saros 10 models, pick the right one

Roborock sells the Saros 10 in two versions, and they are very different to live with:

  • Manual-tank version: a taller tower with clean and dirty water tanks you have to keep emptying and refilling by hand.
  • Plumbed / self-refilling version (the one I have and recommend): no water tanks at all, so it is a noticeably shorter tower that fits tighter, smaller spaces. It auto-empties, self-washes and disinfects the mop pads, and refills its own water through a plumbed water line, the truly hands-off experience.

The catch with the plumbed model: you need a spot with access to a water line and power, plus a little plumbing comfort (or a plumber) to install it. Pre-plan the location before you buy. Once it is installed and plumbed it is 100% worth it, but make sure you are buying the version that matches your space and your willingness to plumb it in.
